An "Organic Farming Farmers' Conference" was grandly organized at the MPDO office's AC auditorium in Anandapuram village, Bheemili constituency, Visakhapatnam district, under the leadership of Sri Potnuru Venkata Krishna Rao, the Visakhapatnam District President of the Kisan Morcha.

Visakhapatnam: Bheemli: Indian News Times:15 June,This awareness conference on traditional organic farming methods was organized by Sri Potnuru Venkata Krishna Rao, the Visakhapatnam District Kisan Morcha President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), to mark the successful completion of 12 years of good governance by the Honorable Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi. Farmers were encouraged to reduce the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides and instead utilize cow-based inputs, farmyard manure, and tank silt to preserve soil health and produce organic crops.


Sri Chigurupati Kumar Swamy, the Andhra Pradesh State Kisan Morcha President of the BJP, and Sri Parasurama Raju, the BJP Visakhapatnam District President, attended the event as chief guests and provided valuable insights to the farmers regarding organic farming.


Speaking at the event, Sri Chigurupati Kumar Swamy highlighted that over the past 12 years, the Modi government has introduced numerous revolutionary schemes aimed at strengthening the agricultural sector and doubling farmers' income across the country.  As part of this:


1. **Emphasis on Organic & Natural Farming**

   **Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY):** Providing financial assistance and training to farmers using a cluster-based approach to promote chemical-free, organic farming across the country.
   **Bharatiya Prakritik Krishi Paddhati (BPKP):** Promoting natural farming through traditional methods and reducing input costs.


2. **Direct Financial Assistance**

   **PM-KISAN (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi):** Directly depositing ₹6,000 annually into the bank accounts of crores of farmers across the country as investment support.


3. **Crop Security & Marketing**
   **PMFBY (Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana):** Providing comprehensive crop insurance coverage to farmers who suffer losses due to natural calamities, at a very low premium.
   **e-NAM (National Agriculture Market):** Creating a digital market platform that enables farmers to sell their produce anywhere in the country at a fair price.


4. **Soil Health & Infrastructure**

   **Soil Health Card:** Testing soil quality and educating farmers on the specific types and quantities of fertilizers required for their land.
   **PMKSY (Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana):** Promoting water access for every farm ("Har Khet Ko Pani") and micro-irrigation techniques like drip and sprinkler systems ("Per Drop More Crop").  


Potnuru Venkata Krishna Rao, the Visakhapatnam District President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kisan Morcha, stated that a large number of people participated in this program.
