Amalapuram: Indian News Times:Citing the challenges faced in the aquaculture sector, aqua farmers have appealed to the government to constitute a committee—similar to the one established to address shrimp feed prices—to ensure they can sell their hard-earned produce without incurring losses. Led by Dendukuri Satthibabu Raju, President of the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema District Aqua Farmers' Association, a group of farmers visited the District Collectorate during the public grievance redressal session. They requested the Collector to form a committee to oversee shrimp procurement, processing, and exports, and to ensure that the prices paid to farmers are aligned with export rates.  It was stated that the government is favorably disposed towards farmers; just as a committee was formed to address feed prices—thereby ensuring the benefits of the announced electricity subsidy actually reach the farmers—establishing a committee to implement export-based pricing would ensure they receive a fair support price for the crops they have toiled to produce. Participants in this event included Aqua Association District Secretary Tsavatapalli Manikumar, Sadhanala Govind, Onteddu Sitaramaiah, Isakona Sambasivarao, Kayala Balaram, Akkala Balakrishna, and Tsavatapalli Hemanth, among others.
