Amaravati: Indian News Times:June 4*Marking the completion of two years of the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) State President and Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao extended his greetings to the people and described June 4 as a landmark day that symbolised not merely the formation of a government but the triumph of public aspirations and democratic resolve.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said the coalition administration, which assumed office on the strength of what he termed a historic mandate for the reconstruction of Andhra Pradesh, had consistently pursued a balanced agenda of welfare, development, and transparent governance over the past two years. He asserted that the government had remained steadfast in translating electoral promises into tangible outcomes, thereby reinforcing public confidence in democratic institutions.

Reflecting on the government's early decisions, Mr. Srinivasa Rao noted that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had signalled the administration's priorities from the very first day in office through a series of measures aimed at public welfare. These included the announcement of a Mega DSC recruitment drive, the repeal of the Land Titling Act, enhancement of social security pensions, and the revival of Anna Canteens, initiatives that, he said, directly addressed the concerns of ordinary citizens.

He further maintained that the implementation of the flagship ‘Super Six’ commitments had positioned Andhra Pradesh as a model for welfare-oriented governance. Programmes such as Annadata Sukhibhava, Talliki Vandanam, Deepam 2.0, and Stree Shakti had, according to him, delivered meaningful support to farmers, women, students, and economically weaker households, ensuring that the government's commitments translated into measurable benefits on the ground.

Emphasising employment generation as a key pillar of the administration's development agenda, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said the government had moved with urgency to create opportunities for the youth. Apart from facilitating lakhs of employment opportunities, it had initiated measures to establish MSME parks across constituencies, with the objective of fostering local entrepreneurship and industrial growth. He contended that within a relatively short span of two years, the State had succeeded in attracting substantial investments, laying the foundation for large-scale job creation in the years ahead.

Mr. Srinivasa Rao also highlighted several infrastructure and development initiatives, including efforts towards the protection of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, the advancement of the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone project, road infrastructure expansion, and housing programmes for the underprivileged. These initiatives, he said, reflected the government's commitment to inclusive and sustainable growth.

The coalition government, he added, had sought to address the welfare needs of all sections of society, including fishermen, auto-rickshaw drivers, farmers, women, and youth, through a range of targeted interventions. Reaffirming the administration's long-term vision, he stated that the government was steering the State towards the goals outlined under the Swarna Andhra Vision-2047, with the ultimate objective of building a prosperous and poverty-free society.

Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Andhra Pradesh was emerging as a benchmark for development, welfare delivery, investment promotion, and employment generation, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said, expressing confidence that the State's growth trajectory would continue to strengthen in the years to come.
