GENERAL MANAGER, SOUTH COAST RAILWAY CONDUCTS COMPREHENSIVE INSPECTION OF VIJAYAWADA–GUDUR- RENIGUNTA SECTION*
Visakhapatnam : Indian News Times :12 June ,Sandeep Mathur, General Manager, South Coast Railway (SCoR), conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Vijayawada–Gudur-Renigunta section in Vijayawada and Guntakal Divisions to review railway infrastructure, safety systems, operational efficiency, and passenger amenities.
As part of the inspection, he carried out a window trailing inspection of the ongoing third-line works between Krishna Canal Junction and Peddavadlapudi Junction and reviewed the progress and quality of execution.
At Tenali Railway Station, the General Manager inspected the ticketing area, waiting halls, circulating and parking areas, and reviewed ongoing development works aimed at enhancing passenger convenience.
At Bapatla Railway Station, he inspected the Relay Room and reviewed passenger amenities, safety systems, and station operations.
During his visit to Chirala, Shri Sandeep Mathur inspected yard points and crossings, crossovers, signalling assets, and other safety-related infrastructure, with a focus on operational reliability and adherence to safety standards.
At Ongole Railway Station, he reviewed passenger amenities, cleanliness, and ongoing development works. At Bitragunta, he inspected the Crew Lobby and reviewed crew management systems, welfare facilities, safety practices, and operational procedures.
General Manager also inspected Srikalahasti Railway Station, reviewing passenger amenities and station facilities, before conducting a window trailing inspection of the Gudur–Renigunta section. He reviewed Renigunta Yard remodelling works.
General Manager was accompanied by Principal Chief Engineer Shri BSK Rajkumar;, Principal Chief Signal & Telecom Engineer Shri OB Suresh Kumar, Principal Chief Operations Manager Shri Vineet Kumar; Chief Administrative Officer Shri Ankush Gupta, South Coast Railway. Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division, Shri Mohit Sonakiya and Divisional Railway Manager Guntakal Shri Chandrasekhar Gupta are also accompanied in their respective jurisdiction.
