Visakhapatnam: Indian News Times:20 June ,General Manager, South Coast Railway, Shri Sandeep Mathur, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the New Coach Care Centre (NCC) at Visakhapatnam today. During the visit, he reviewed various coach maintenance activities being undertaken at the complex and assessed the facilities and infrastructure available at the centre. He also obtained firsthand feedback regarding the operational arrangements and amenities provided for ensuring efficient maintenance of coaching stock.
Shri Sandeep Mathur was accompanied by Divisional Railway Manager, Visakhapatnam Division, Shri Lalit Bohra, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer, South Coast Railway, Dr. Amit Gupta, along with other senior officials of Visakhapatnam Division.
During the inspection, the General Manager closely examined different maintenance practices and emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of safety, quality and upkeep of coaches to ensure enhanced passenger comfort and service. General Manager focused on the fire safety measures adopted in coaches and power cars and reviewed the training programmes conducted for employees to enhance their preparedness in fire prevention and emergency response.
As part of his visit, Shri Sandeep Mathur also interacted with women employees at the New Coach Care Centre. He sought their feedback on the prevailing work culture, facilities provided and suggestions for further improving the workplace environment. The women employees expressed satisfaction with the facilities available and shared positive feedback regarding their working experience at the centre.
