Visakhapatnam:Indian News Times:Today (05.06.2026), on the occasion of the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh's bicycle rally from Andhra University Engineering College to Novotel in Visakhapatnam, the District Medical and Health Officer arranged 12 medical camps (spaced every 300 meters along the route) and 3 ambulances. 


The Bhanoji Ganagar Urban Health Centre was designated as the First Referral Unit, and Apollo Hospital was designated as the contingency hospital. Additionally, three '108' Advanced Life Support ambulances—equipped with medical teams, ORS packets, and essential medicines—were kept on standby.


Furthermore, to mark "World Environment Day," Dr. P. Jagadeeswara Rao (DMHO) and his staff conducted an awareness campaign at the DMHO office regarding the necessity of environmental conservation for future generations and the importance of protecting our Earth. Embracing the slogan "Green trees are stepping stones to progress," they planted saplings. 


 Speaking on the occasion, Dr. P. Jagadeeswara Rao urged everyone to plant trees, noting that doing so not only provides oxygen—essential for life—but also helps maintain ecological balance and provides shade along roadsides.Officials and office staff participated in this program.
