Visakhapatnam :Indian News Times:Today is the date. On 11.06.2026, a meeting was held on ART and Surrogacy Act under the chairmanship of the District Collector. Speaking in this meeting, Dr.P. Jagadeeswara Rao, District Medical and Health Officer, Visakhapatnam informed that King George Hospital, Nirmala Hospital, Sri Venkataramana Hospital have applied for ART Level-1.

The District Collector, while talking to the hospitals, directed the committee members to attend the meeting and to upload the details of all Level-1, Level-2, ART banks and surrogacy centers in the district along with contact numbers and checklist of each center on the district website.  The committee meeting should be held every two months.

In this meeting, Dr. Soumini, Gynecologist, Dr. Ratnakumari, Pediatrics, Smt. L.V. Ramani, NGO, Dr. A. Nirmala, Member, Demo Sri B. Nageswara Rao and Demo Department staff participated.
