Amalapuram:IndianNewsTimes:Update...Following a complaint regarding the theft of a Honda Activa motorcycle—parked outside a house in Podagatlapalli, Ravulapalem Mandal—by unidentified individuals during the night, the Ravulapalem Police registered a case (Crime No. 137/2026 under Section 303(2) BNS). As part of the investigation, five accused persons were arrested.
It was reported that the thieves broke the handlebar lock by sitting on the seat and forcefully kicking the handlebar with both legs; they then started the vehicle by disconnecting a wire from the ignition switch and connecting it using a binding wire. A total of 38 stolen motorcycles, valued at ₹38 lakhs, were recovered.
The case involved Kothapeta DSP Sunkara Murali Mohan, Ravulapalem Town Inspector M. Sekhar Babu, Amalapuram Crime CI Kondayya, Ravulapalem SIs G. Chanti, A. Pardeshi, and A. Balakrishna, along with ASI M. Subbaraju and Head Constable K. District SP Rahul Meena commended and announced rewards for Venkataramana, constables Lankadi Srinu, D. Arjuna Rao, B.D.V. Prasad, G. Krishna Sai, A. Subhakar, R.Ch.V. Prasad, and M. Haribabu, as well as the Ravulapalem staff.
