Amalapuram: Indian News Times:Metla Ramanababu, President of the District Badminton Association, attended the Olympic Day Run—organized by the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema District Olympic Association at the Officers' Recreation Club—as the chief guest.
He inaugurated the event by lighting the sports torch and waving the flag. Around 300 students from government and private high schools, along with representatives from various sports associations, Physical Directors (PDs), Physical Education Teachers (PETs), and sports enthusiasts, participated in the run. The event proceeded from the Officers' Club, passed by the Clock Tower, and covered the streets of Amalapuram. Ramanababu stated that the Olympic Day Run helps foster sportsmanship among students. Following the run, certificates, T-shirts, tiffin, biscuits, and 'Frooti' drinks were distributed to the participating students.

Ramana Rao, Golakoti Narayana Rao, I. Bhimesh, B.S.N. Murthy, Chanti, Tikkireddy Suresh, P. Vigneshwarudu, K. Venkateswara Rao, G. Sridevi, Naga Durga, K. Ganesh, V. Bujji, Golla Koti Srinivas, P. Prasad, Thota Ravi, K. Ravi Sudheer, and others participated in this event.
