St. Joseph’s College for Women Students Participate Enthusiastically in ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ Awareness Rally
Visakhapatnam :Indian News Times:, June 25: As part of the Government of India’s ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan’ campaign, students of the National Service Scheme (NSS) and Eagle Cell from St. Joseph’s College for Women (Autonomous), Visakhapatnam, actively participated in an anti-drug awareness rally held on Beach Road.
During the programme, the students took a pledge to reject the use of narcotic substances and committed themselves to contributing towards the vision of a drug-free India. They later participated in the awareness rally from Kali Mata Temple to YMCA, spreading awareness among the public about the harmful effects of drug abuse.
The students raised anti-drug slogans throughout the rally, urging young people to stay away from narcotic substances and adopt a healthy and responsible lifestyle. The rally aimed to educate the public on the serious social and health consequences of substance abuse.
The programme was led by Dr. E. Harini, NSS Programme Officer, St. Joseph’s College for Women (Autonomous), Visakhapatnam, who accompanied and guided the students throughout the event. Speaking on the occasion, she appreciated the students for their sense of social responsibility and their active participation in community awareness initiatives.
The college management commended the students for their commitment to community service and expressed the hope that they would continue to participate enthusiastically in programmes that promote social welfare and nation-building.
