A Monument to Bhagawan's Vision: Construction of New Women's Hostel Commences at SSSIHL Anantapur Campus Strengthening the Legacy of Value-Based Education and Women Empowerment

Anantapur: Indian News Times:July 16: With the divine blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, another landmark in His sacred mission of Educare and women empowerment was achieved on Thursday with the commencement of the construction of a new Women's Hostel at the Anantapur Campus of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL).

The auspicious foundation ceremony was performed by Sri RJ Rathnakar, Managing Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, and Dr. B. Raghavendra Prasad, Vice Chancellor, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, in the gracious presence of the family members of Late Dr. Kishan Gadhia—Sri Danesh Gadhia and Sri Sanjay Gadhia—along with Institute functionaries, faculty members, staff, students and distinguished guests.

The proposed hostel, with a built-up area of over 1.5 lakh square feet, will be developed in phases and will provide residential accommodation for nearly 1,500 students. Equipped with modern amenities while preserving the unique spiritual ambience and disciplined lifestyle of the campus, the hostel will further strengthen Bhagawan's vision of integrating academic excellence with character building.

The Anantapur Campus occupies a unique and revered place in Bhagawan's educational mission. Established in July 1968 as a pioneering institution dedicated to women's education, it has, for nearly six decades, shaped thousands of young women into confident, compassionate and socially responsible citizens through the harmonious blend of education and human values.

Adding further significance to the occasion, a renovated Guest House for visiting faculty, scholars and guests was also inaugurated, enhancing the campus infrastructure to support its growing academic and research activities.

The commencement of this new hostel is far more than the construction of a building—it is a renewed affirmation of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba's timeless vision of empowering women through holistic education, nurturing leaders of character, and building a society founded on truth, righteousness, peace, love and selfless service.
