Visakhapatnam:**The Bharatiya Vidya Kendram (BVK) Samithi-level sports competitions were conducted with great enthusiasm and grandeur at the Visalakshinagar school campus in Visakhapatnam. Talented athletes, selected at the district level from various schools under the BVK Samithi, participated in these competitions.
**Inaugural Ceremony & Speeches:**
The event commenced at 9:00 AM on the 25th, with **Sri C.M.K. Raju** (Retired Executive Engineer and Akshaya Patra Lifetime Member) attending as the chief guest and officially inaugurating the competitions. **Sri V.R. Satyanarayana**, the BVK Secretary, presided over the event.
Speaking on the occasion, BVK Secretary Sri V.R. Satyanarayana stated that a total of **150 girls and 250 boys** from various schools under the Samithi participated in these sports competitions.
**Competition Details & Winners:**
The competitions were highly exciting, featuring events such as Kho-Kho, Badminton, Volleyball, Throwball, Shuttle, Athletics, and Kabaddi for both boys and girls. * **All-Round Championship:** Demonstrating overall excellence, **‘Visakha City’ secured the first place**, while the **‘Godavari Division’ claimed the second place** in the all-round championship.
**Valedictory Ceremony & Prize Distribution:**
*Sri N. Annaji Rao** (Retired Headmaster) attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest, alongside BVK Secretary **Sri V.R. Satyanarayana**, and presented medals, mementos, and certificates of appreciation to the winners.
**State-Level Competitions in Pamidi on August 12:**
Secretary Sri V.R. Satyanarayana announced that the athletes selected based on their performance in these events would be sent to represent BVK at the **state-level sports competitions scheduled for August 12 in Pamidi, Anantapur district**.
**Event Organization:**
The sports competitions were efficiently organized under the supervision of **Sri K.R.K. Satyanarayana** (Vidyabharati Kshetra Khel Kood Coordinator), **Sri K. Sankara Rao** (Vidyabharati Pranta Khel Kood Coordinator), and **Sri Chakradhar** (BVK Samiti Khel Kood Coordinator). Also present at the event were BVK Executive Officer **Sri A.V.S. Acharyulu**, Samiti Academic Head **Sri Boda Narayana Rao**, and Estate Officer **Sri D.A.V.** Ramana Murthy, senior physical education instructors Sri Venugopal and Sri K.S. Chakravarthy, among others, participated in the event.
The organizers extended special thanks to the headmasters, teachers, and physical education teachers (PETs) from various schools who ensured the event's success, as well as to the large number of parents who attended and encouraged the students.
