Former MP Chinta Anuradha questions the Alliance government on women's safety; asserts there is no security for women under the Alliance's rule.

Amalapuram:IndianNewsTimes:Condemning the rising attacks on women in the state, YSRCP women leaders staged a protest at the statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar—the architect of the Constitution—in Idarapalli, Amalapuram Rural Mandal, Ambedkar Konaseema district. During the protest led by former MP Chinta Anuradha, they strongly condemned the recent attack on a woman in Guntur and demanded strict action against those responsible. They also demanded that State Home Minister Anitha resign, accepting moral responsibility.

Alleging that attacks on women have surged since the Alliance government came to power, the leaders demanded severe punishment for the perpetrators. MLC Bommi Israel stated that women's safety in the state has become questionable and demanded that Home Minister Anitha accept moral responsibility and resign immediately.

YSRCP Town President Sansani Buli Nani questioned why Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu—who had previously warned that anyone harming women would face their "last day"—and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan—who had vowed to "skin them alive" (take severe punitive action)—are not responding now. The YSRCP women leaders warned that they would intensify state-wide protests if immediate action is not taken against those committing attacks on women.
