Visakhapatnam :Indian News Times: 7July 2026 General Manager of South Coast Railway, Shri Sandeep Mathur, today chaired a comprehensive review meeting with the Principal Heads of Departments (PHODs) at the Zonal Headquarters and the Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all four divisions to review the safety aspects of train operations and punctuality.
During the meeting, General Manager conducted an in-depth assessment of various safety-related issues concerning train operations and emphasized that punctuality remains the highest priority in railway functioning. He reviewed the implementation of various safety measures and instructed officers to ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols across the zone.
Shri Sandeep Mathur also reviewed train movement with a special focus on improving punctuality and ensuring smooth and efficient operations. He stressed the need for continuous monitoring of train performance, prompt attention to operational challenges, and close coordination among departments to minimize delays and enhance service reliability.
General Manager directed all officials to remain vigilant, strengthen safety monitoring mechanisms, and adopt proactive measures to ensure safe, secure, and punctual train operations. He also emphasized the importance of regular inspections, timely maintenance of railway assets.
