Inspector General Anurag Kaushik joined the Indian Coast Guard on 08 Jul 1995. The Officer is a Communication Specialist and is an alumnus of College of Defence Management, Secunderabad and National Defence College, New Delhi.In a distinguished career over 31 years, the flag officer has held numerous prestigious Operational, Staff and Command Appointment which includes commands of Hovercraft 187, ICGS Sujay, Coast Guard Station Vadinar and Coast Guard District Headquarters no.2(Mah). His Staff appointment includes Joint Director Communication at CGHQ, CSO(Ops) at CGRHQ (NW) and Chief of Staff at CGRHQ (East). The Officer is Recipient of Tatrakshak Medal Gallantry and has been commended twice by DGICG.Prior to this assignment, he served as Principal Director Communication and Search and Rescue at the Coast Guard Headquarters.
