Visakhapatnam -On 03.07.2026, Dr. P. Jagadeeswara Rao, DMHO, Visakhapatnam, visited the Kobbarithota Urban Health Centre (Bhupesh Nagar) and inspected identified Dengue hotspots. He advised the public to clean areas where water stagnates—including refrigerator trays and household surroundings—to prevent water accumulation and mosquito bites. He urged everyone to observe "Friday-Dry Day" to eliminate breeding grounds.
Subsequently, he conducted a review meeting covering various aspects, including EHR and ABHA ID registration; public perception regarding hospital services (assessed via IVRS); KPI indicators; RBSK services; OP and IP services; laboratory tests; medicine availability; and FRS-based attendance. He also issued instructions to maintain the cleanliness of the Urban Health Centre's premises. Urban Health Centre Medical Officer Dr. Halima Parveen, District Malaria Officer Mr. Varaprasada Reddy, GVMC Biologist Mr. P. Sambamurthy, Assistant Malaria Officer Mr. B. Nagabhushanam, along with malaria staff, GVMC personnel, and health centre staff, participated in this visit.
