Visakhapatnam : Indian News Times :On 17.07.2026, Dr. P. Jagadeeswara Rao, DMHO, Visakhapatnam, visited the Tirumala Nagar Secretariat in the Vadlapudi area—falling under the jurisdiction of the Kanithi Primary Health Centre (PHC)—as part of the 'Dry Day-Friday' program. During the visit, he inspected two containers found to contain larvae and advised the public to ensure that water does not stagnate either inside or outside their homes. He expressed displeasure with the ANM who was attending to Outpatient (OP) duties at Kanithi. Program officers and ANMs participated in the 'Dry Day-Friday' program. Subsequently, he visited the Pedagantyada PHC, inspected the ongoing OP services, and directed the medical and health staff to further enhance these services. He expressed dissatisfaction regarding the absence of a Senior Assistant. He conducted a review covering various aspects, including EHR, ABHA ID registration, monitoring hospital service delivery via IVRS, public perception, KPI indicators, RBSK services, OP and IP services, lab tests, medicine availability, and FRS-based attendance. He also instructed that the surroundings of the Urban Health Centre be kept clean.  Primary Health Centre doctor Dr. Swarupa, Assistant Malaria Officer Mr. B. Nagabhushana Rao, the Kanithi MPHEO, and health centre staff participated in this visit.
