Visakhapatnam :Indian news times :21 July 2026 :The two-day National Seminar on “Smart Governance and Systems: Driving the Future of Commerce, Management and Taxation,” organized by the Department of Commerce and Management in collaboration with IQAC at St. Joseph’s College for Women (Autonomous), Visakhapatnam, concluded
on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m., according to the Principal, Dr. Sr. Shyji P.D., who presided over the valedictory session.
Dr. K. Rajani, Convenor of the seminar, presented a brief report highlighting the key outcomes of the two-day event. Faculty members, researchers, and students from various educational institutions actively participated in the seminar and presented research papers on contemporary issues related to commerce, management, taxation, and smart systems.Dr. Sr. Shyji P.D. congratulated the organizers and participants for the successful conduct of the seminar. She reiterated the institution’s commitment to promoting excellence in education, research, and innovation.
The Chief Guest, Professor Jaladi Ravi, Principal, College of Arts and Commerce, Andhra University, appreciated the Department of Commerce and Management for organizing a national seminar on such a contemporary and relevant theme. He emphasized that technological advancements, interdisciplinary learning, and skill development are indispensable in today’s world. He encouraged students to cultivate self-confidence, adaptability, and an entrepreneurial mindset to meet future challenges.
Dr. N. Jyothi, Co-Convenor, proposed the vote of thanks and expressed her gratitude to all the delegates and participants who contributed to the success of the seminar.
On the occasion, the Chief Guest distributed certificates to the presenters of research papers and all participating delegates.
More than 70 faculty members, researchers, and students participated in the seminar, making it a grand success. Among those present were Dr. Bhaskara Sudha, IQAC Coordinator; Dr. P. K.
