Amalapuram: IndianNewsTimes...Registrars, assistants and typists of Mummidivaram have demanded the cancellation of the privatization of real estate and property document registration services. They started a strike at the Mummidivaram Sub-Registrar's office to protest G.O. No. 396. They said that they will continue the strike from Monday till the 31st of this month. The registrars demanded that the privatization of registration services be stopped and the licenses of the registrars be renewed. They also said that the registrars are providing registration services to the people without any disputes and that they have been providing their services to the buyers and sellers with their generations of experience.

They said that they are opposed to the intention to abolish the system of document clerks that has been going on since the British era.
They demanded that the G.O. No. 396 issued earlier for privatization be withdrawn. The document clerks informed that due to this G.O., people will face delays in registration, waste of time, and have to pay additional money.
Later, they handed over a petition to Mummidivaram Tahsildar Subhash. Clerks, assistants and computer operators participated in this program.
