Two-Day Multilingual International Conference on “Role of Artificial Intelligence in the Development of Languages and Literature” Concludes

Visakhapatnam: Indian News Times:The two-day Multilingual International Conference on “Role of Artificial Intelligence in the Development of Languages and Literature” concluded successfully on 8 July 2026 with a grand valedictory session held at St. Joseph’s College for Women (Autonomous), Visakhapatnam.

The valedictory session was presided over by Dr. Sr. Shyji P. D., Principal, St. Joseph’s College for Women (Autonomous). In her presidential address, she appreciated the enthusiastic participation of delegates and emphasized the importance of integrating Artificial Intelligence with language and literary studies while preserving linguistic diversity and cultural values.

The Chief Guest, CMA. D. Ramana Murthy, Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer and Head of Finance Department, Visakhapatnam Port Authority, highlighted the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in language learning, translation, literary research, and digital innovation. He encouraged participants to harness AI ethically for academic excellence and social development.

The Guest of Honour, Dr. N. Solomon Benny, Head, Department of English, Andhra University, stressed the need to combine technological advancements with creativity and critical thinking to enrich language and literature.

The Distinguished Guest, Prof. R. S. Sarraju, Senior Expert, Bharateeya Bhasha Samiti, Ministry of Education, Government of India, and Former Pro Vice-Chancellor, University of Hyderabad, spoke on the promotion of Indian languages through Artificial Intelligence and the immense possibilities of multilingual digital resources.

More than 100 delegates, including academicians, researchers, faculty members, and students from different institutions, actively participated in the conference, presenting research papers and engaging in scholarly discussions on the application of AI in the development of languages and literature.

During the valedictory session, certificates were distributed to all the participants by the Chief Guest in recognition of their successful participation in the conference.

The conference was convened by Dr. P. K. Jayalakshmi, while Dr. T. Bhaskara Sudha served as the Co-convenor and PRO. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. P. K. Jayalakshmi, who expressed sincere gratitude to the President, Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Distinguished Guest, speakers, delegates, organizing committee, and all those who contributed to the successful conduct of the conference.

The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
