Emergency Medical Centre Opened at Visakhapatnam Railway Station


Visakhapatnam: Indian News Times:An Emergency Medical Centre has been opened today at Platform No. 1 of Visakhapatnam Railway Station under the MoU between the Railways and Pinnacle Hospitals, to provide basic first aid and emergency medical services to passengers and railway users at minimal charges.

The centre will function round the clock, with one doctor, one pharmacist and one assistant on duty. Facilities available include wheelchairs, stretchers, medical oxygen and basic life-support equipment, including a defibrillator.



An ambulance service is also available on call for patients requiring further medical evaluation or treatment at a hospital.



Shri Lalit Bohra, DRM/VSKP, Dr. Sharath Babu, CMS/VSKP, Dr. G.V. Reddy, Cardiologist, Dr. Krishna Nayak, Medical Superintendent and Ms Ch Indira Administrator from Pinnacle Hospitals visited the newly opened centre today and reviewed the facilities and arrangements.

The facility is aimed at providing quick and accessible medical assistance to passengers in case of illness or emergency during their journey.
