Visakhapatnam (Indian News Times): To mark Teachers' Day and express their respect and gratitude, alumni of Andhra High School, Kharagpur (West Bengal), organized a grand felicitation ceremony for their teachers.
At the heartwarming gathering held on Saturday at Kambalakonda Eco Park, the alumni felicitated J.K. Patnaik, Ch. Jagadeeswara Rao, and V. Umamaheswara Rao—the teachers who had educated and guided them. They lauded the teachers' services and the pivotal role they played in shaping the students' lives. Following the ceremony, a cordial luncheon was hosted for the teachers and alumni.
Earlier in the day, they visited teacher Saraswathi at her residence to convey Teachers' Day wishes and honor her. Later, they visited teacher P.J. Rao at the 'Father-Mother' Old Age Home, where they sought his blessings and felicitated him with great respect.
The alumni expressed immense joy in honoring their teachers—whom they had not forgotten even after many years—remarking that a teacher is not merely someone who imparts lessons but a guide who provides direction for life.
The event stood as a testament to the cherished bond between teacher and student and the alumni's deep sense of gratitude towards their mentors. This event was held under the leadership of Convener Ramakrishna, Umashankar Reddy, Madhusudan Reddy, Nataraj, and others.
