Amalapuram | Visakha Sandesam...District Collector R. Mahesh Kumar has issued strict orders to revenue staff, emphasizing that there must be absolutely no negligence in providing revenue services. He directed them to remain accountable to the public and to deliver services with complete transparency. On Tuesday, G. Jayalakshmi, the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration for the State, conducted a video conference from Amaravati with the Collectors of various districts. During this conference, she provided specific directives to the District Collectors regarding the progress of key initiatives, including matters related to '22-A' category lands, the distribution of re-surveyed Pattadar Passbooks, land mutations, revenue registrations, and the PGRS (Public Grievance Redressal System). Speaking to the revenue staff following the video conference, the Collector directed them to complete the ongoing land re-survey works on a war footing. Furthermore, he instructed that the new Pattadar Passbooks—bearing the official State Emblem—must be distributed to beneficiaries through Gram Sabhas (village assemblies) during the first week of every month. He made it unequivocally clear that any form of negligence in land administration or in the delivery of revenue services would not be tolerated, and that strict disciplinary action would be initiated against any staff members found to be at fault. He specifically directed that all requests and representations pertaining to lands listed under Section 22-A be resolved with the utmost urgency. He emphasized that there should be no delays in the process of delisting eligible lands from the prohibited list; instead, field-level verifications must be completed promptly, and the corresponding reports submitted to the government immediately. Finally, he reiterated that the land re-survey operations currently underway in the Konaseema district must be completed on a war footing, and that the revised Pattadar Passbooks must be handed over to farmers immediately in all villages where the survey process has been successfully concluded.
He emphasized the need to provide clear title deeds for undisputed lands to future generations. He directed that no farmer should ever have to run around offices; instead, land passbooks must be distributed exclusively through Gram Sabhas (village assemblies) during the first week of every month. He called for special attention to be focused on pending land mutations. He instructed that any technical glitches encountered should be immediately brought to the notice of the district administration.
He directed that the purification of revenue records and the Digital Revenue Register be updated on a regular basis.
He suggested that public awareness be created regarding 'Revenue One' services and that all revenue-related services be brought under a single umbrella through 'Revenue Clinics.' He stressed that petitions received through the public grievance redressal platform must be accorded the highest priority. He issued strict orders to provide high-quality resolutions that ensure the applicant's satisfaction, and to take measures aimed at permanent solutions so that issues do not resurface later. He asserted that the revenue administration must remain accountable to the public. The District Collector warned that disciplinary action would be inevitable against anyone displaying negligence in resolving land-related issues.
RDO G. Mammi, Tahsildar Chinababu, Superintendent of Land Administration Subbaraju, Deputy Tahsildar Vamsi, and other revenue staff members participated in this review meeting.
