ASR Homoeopathic Medical College Students Honored at World Homoeopathy Day 2026 in New Delhi


Tadepalligudem, April 11, 2026 — In a significant achievement for the state’s medical research community, three student researchers from ASR Homoeopathic Medical College (ASRHMC) were awarded prestigious appreciation certificates during the World Homoeopathy Day 2026 celebrations held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

The two-day national event, held on April 10th and 11th, was organized by the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) in collaboration with the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) and the National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH). This year’s celebrations centered on the theme, "Bharatiya Homoeopathy: Transforming Traditional Wisdom into Tangible Science".

National Recognition for Research Excellence Out of 53 students selected from across India under the Short Term Studentship in Homoeopathy (STSH) program, three student researchers from ASRHMC were honored for their outstanding research contributions. The STSH initiative by the CCRH is designed to inculcate a research-oriented mindset among undergraduate students, encouraging evidence-based practice within the fraternity.

The certificates were presented during the valedictory ceremony in the presence of esteemed dignitaries. Ms. Alarmelmangai D., Joint Secretary and Head of Department, Ministry of AYUSH, served as the Chief Guest. In her address, she praised the scientific foundations of homoeopathy and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting its global development.

2. Dr. Tarkeshwar Jain, Chairman, NCH

3. Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Secretary, NCH

4. Dr. Pralay Sharma, Director, NIH

Dr. Subhash Kaushik emphasized the council’s efforts to bridge the gap between traditional practice and modern science, while Dr. Tarkeshwar Jain noted that the deliberations provided a fruitful roadmap for future academic and clinical excellence.

World Homoeopathy Day 2026 marks the 271st birth anniversary of Dr. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann. The celebrations at Vigyan Bhawan brought together practitioners, academicians, and students from across the country to strengthen the scientific temperament of the homoeopathic profession.
