Visakhapatnam, India News Times – April 7: Police Commissioner Dr. Shankhabrata Bagchi lauded the commendable services of Dr. Kandregula Venkata Ramkumar, who, having established the 'Lakshmi Gayatri' Trust and Hospital 11 years ago, has organized approximately 600 free medical camps to date. Speaking on the occasion, CP Bagchi inaugurated free medical services on Tuesday at a shelter home for the homeless located near the RTC Complex, an initiative conducted under the aegis of Lakshmi Gayatri Hospital.

The CP congratulated Dr. Ramkumar for organizing monthly camps for the poor and providing them with free medical care and medicines. He noted that, on this specific occasion, Dr. Ramkumar had also specially donated 20 bags of rice for the homeless residents. K.V. Ramkumar affirmed that he would continue to donate 20 bags of rice every month. The poor expressed their gratitude for this initiative—undertaken by the police as part of 'Operation Jyothirgamaya'—which ensures the availability of medicines. Speaking at the event,Dr. Ramkumar assured the poor and the elderly that they could contact him for any assistance they might require, and that medicines would remain continuously available. Breakfast was also served to the elderly during the program. Participants in the event included Lakshmi Gayatri Hospital duty doctors Ramesh and Anand, Vaka Sunitha (a representative of the Jana Sena Party Doctors' Cell), and the hospital staff.
