Divisional Railway Manager, Shri Lalit Bohra, in the presence of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Shri K. Pavan Kumar, felicitated the best-performing ticket checking staff of Waltair Division for their outstanding contributions during the year 2025–26.
The ticket checking team of Waltair Division, comprising Amenities, Station Staff, and Squad Staff, delivered exceptional results during the year. The team achieved an impressive ticket checking revenue of ₹26.21 crore towards fare and penalties, registering a growth of 3.05% over the previous year—marking a significant improvement in performance.
In recognition of their exemplary dedication and commitment to duty, the top performers were specially honored. Shri Y. Appala Raju, TTI/Vizianagaram, emerged as the highest performer, detecting over 850 cases and realizing ₹50.20 lakh in fare and penalties. Smt. K. Santoshhi Rao, Smt. Sambili, Shri P.V. Trivikrama Rao, and others were also among the top performers felicitated by the DRM.
The Divisional Railway Manager commended the relentless efforts of the ticket checking staff, appreciating their dedication, diligence, and crucial role in ensuring passenger compliance and efficient execution of duties. DRM said that the remarkable performance not only sets a new benchmark but also serves as an inspiration for others to strive for excellence.
