Full Support for Journalists* *Will Consider Payment of Health Insurance Premiums* *Will Resolve Pending Issues Promptly* *With Leaders of the AP Working Journalists Federation* *District Collector Abhisikth Kishore*

Visakhapatnam, April 23District Collector Abhisikth Kishore stated that full cooperation would be extended to working journalists in the Visakhapatnam district. On Thursday, several journalist leaders representing the AP Working Journalists Federation, the Broadcast Journalists Association, and the Small and Medium Newspapers Association paid a courtesy visit to the District Collector in his chamber. On this occasion, Ganta Srinu Babu—Secretary of the National Association of Journalists (NAJ) and a state leader of the AP Working Journalists Federation—along with P. Narayana, the Visakhapatnam District President, explained in detail various issues concerning journalists to the District Collector.
They requested that the district administration pay the health insurance premiums for all journalists in the district using CSR funds. They noted that, in the past, several previous Collectors had similarly facilitated such payments. They also specifically requested that veteran journalists be included in this initiative. Ganta Srinu Babu and Narayana stated that the Collector responded positively to this matter.
Furthermore, they mentioned that they had requested the Collector to address pending accreditation applications and other related issues. They reported that the Collector gave an assurance that he would look into all pending issues faced by journalists and resolve them in a phased manner.
During the meeting, Ganta Srinu Babu and the other journalist leaders felicitated the Collector by presenting him with a memento of Lord Simhadri. Additionally, District President Narayana presented the AP Working Journalists Federation's State Diary to the Collector.
Participants in this program included Irothi Eswara Rao (President, Broadcast Journalists Association), Kintada Madan (Secretary), and the President of the Small and Medium Newspapers Association. Jaganmohan and Bobbara Prasad participated, along with Federation Vice Presidents N. Ramakrishna, P. Nagesh Babu, and others.
