Visakhapatnam: On the occasion of the centenary celebrations of Andhra University, a grand rally was organized under the aegis of Gayatri Vidya Parishad Degree College. Around 300 students enthusiastically participated in the rally.
The Vice President, Honorable Sri D. Dakshina Murthy, Acharya Pragada Raja Ganapathi, and members of Gayatri Vidya Parishad took part in the event. The rally was formally inaugurated by Vice President Sri Dakshina Murthy. Speaking on the occasion, Acharya Pragada Raja Ganapathi said that celebrating 100 years of Andhra University is a matter of great pride and expressed his happiness at participating in the rally.
Acharya Somaraju, Secretary of Gayatri Vidya Parishad, College Principal Acharya K. S. Bose, and Director Sri D. Giridhar also participated and encouraged the students. Heads of all departments (HODs), Public Relations Officer Smt. Shesha Padma, and faculty members actively took part and made the rally a grand success.
Students carried placards highlighting the greatness of Andhra University and raised slogans as they marched forward. The rally started from Gayatri Vidya Parishad College, MVP Sector, and continued up to MVP Circle.
The program concluded successfully with effective coordination.
