TADEPALLIGUDEM / PITHAPURAM|April 15, 2026 :In a prestigious recognition of holistic healthcare, the Hon’ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Shri S. Abdul Nazeer, has issued a high-level commendation for the joint efforts of ASR Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital (ASRHMC) and the Umar Alisha Rural Development Trust (UARDT).
The Governor’s message was released during the joint celebration of World Homoeopathy Week 2026, commemorating the 271st Birth Anniversary of the Father of Homeopathy, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann.
In his official message from Lok Bhavan, Shri S. Abdul Nazeer emphasized that health is more than the mere absence of disease. Lauding the homeopathic system, the Governor stated:
"Homeopathy looks beyond the disease to cure their causes rather than merely their symptoms, and it stimulates the body’s own natural healing powers to bring health, vitality, and well-being."
The Governor further noted that Homeopathy plays a vital role in strengthening the biological system’s ability to respond adaptively to environmental challenges. He extended his best wishes for the success of the ongoing programs organized by ASRHMC and UARDT.
A Week of Impactful Community Outreach
Marking the awareness week, ASRHMC and the Trust conducted a series of extensive health initiatives, including:
- Grand Awareness Rally: A public rally was held to promote the benefits of Homeopathy and preventive healthcare.
- 10 Rural Medical Camps: Specialized camps were organized in rural clusters, alongside regular clinical camps at the ASRHMC campus.
- Disease Screening and Treatment: These programs focused on the early detection and management of non-communicable diseases, such as Diabetes, Hypertension, and Thyroid disorders.
- Academic Excellence: The week featured a high-level National Seminar and various competitions designed for faculty and students to foster research and clinical knowledge.
The celebrations culminated in a grand tribute to Dr. Samuel Hahnemann on April 10th.
