Vizag International Cruise Terminal Highlighted as Key Growth Driver under Cruise Bharat Mission
India made a strong global impression at Seatrade Cruise Global 2026 held in Miami, USA, from April 13 to 16, the world’s premier cruise industry event.
Dr. M. Angamuthu, IAS, Chairperson, Visakhapatnam Port Authority, represented India as part of a high-level delegation nominated by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. He showcased the Vizag International Cruise Terminal as a key driver of India’s cruise tourism growth under the Cruise Bharat Mission.
The Indian delegation actively engaged with global cruise leaders including Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean International, Carnival Cruise Line, and MSC Cruises to explore opportunities for enhancing cruise traffic and developing attractive itineraries for Indian ports.
Meetings with Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) highlighted India’s progressive policy initiatives, receiving appreciation and support for aligning with global standards.
With its vast coastline and strategic initiatives under Maritime India Vision 2030, India is steadily positioning itself as a leading global cruise destination.
