Intensive exercise underway for selection of venue for Mahanadu 2026, TDP State President Palla Srinivasa Rao and other leaders undertake extensive tour across multiple locations*
Vizianagaram/Srikakulam, April 10:* The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has accelerated its preparations to host Mahanadu 2026 on an unprecedented scale, with an emphasis on grandeur and historical significance, marking the birth anniversary of its founder, the late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. In this context, the party’s State President and Gajuwaka MLA, Palla Srinivasa Rao, along with senior leaders, embarked on an extensive tour across several locations to identify a suitable venue for the flagship annual conclave.
In a single day, Mr. Srinivasa Rao personally inspected as many as nine संभावित sites, underscoring the seriousness of the exercise. Each location was assessed through a comprehensive lens, factoring in Vastu compliance, spatial adequacy, transport connectivity, parking infrastructure, security arrangements, and the capacity to accommodate lakhs of party cadre with ease. He emphasised that the party is committed to ensuring that the event is organised with meticulous precision and adheres to the highest standards, leaving no scope for logistical shortcomings.
The inspection covered key locations including Nathavalasa (Vizianagaram Parliamentary constituency), Paidibhimavaram (Etcherla constituency), Pisinni Road–Pativadapalem (Ranasthalam mandal), and Singavaram (Denkada mandal, Nellimarla constituency), among others. During the visits, detailed deliberations were held with officials and local leadership on critical parameters such as infrastructure readiness, scope for expansion, and seamless transport linkage.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Srinivasa Rao described Mahanadu as a symbol of self-respect for the TDP, a party founded on the ideals of NTR. He asserted that the forthcoming edition would be conducted in a manner befitting the party’s stature, with the objective of capturing national attention and setting new organisational benchmarks.
He further noted that under the guidance of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and with the proactive leadership of Minister Nara Lokesh, who has been instrumental in energising the party’s outreach among youth, Mahanadu 2026 is poised to be a spectacle of unmatched scale and execution. He added that a final decision on the venue would be announced shortly after a thorough review of all considerations.
Calling for collective effort, Mr. Srinivasa Rao urged party cadre to work in close coordination to ensure that Mahanadu 2026 emerges as another landmark event in the party’s history.
