Justice Lisa Gill from Chandigarh was sworn in as a judge of the Andhra Pradesh State High Court in Amaravati.
Chief Justice Justice Dheeraj Singh Thakur administered the oath to her in the first hall of the High Court.
Justice Lisa Gill will take charge as the Chief Justice after the retirement of the CJ on April 24.
With this, she will make history as the first woman CJ of the AP High Court.

President Draupadi Murmu has approved the appointment of Justice Lisa Gill as the first woman Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh State High Court.
The current CJ Justice Dheeraj Singh has retired.
With this, Governor Justice Abdul Nazeer will administer the oath to Lisa Gill as the CJ.
It is known that she, who is serving as a judge of the Punjab-Haryana High Court, was recently transferred to AP.
