In the 39th Ward, South Constituency, social reformer Jyoti Rao Phule celebrated his birth anniversary under the auspices of Sri Swami Vivekananda Sanstha. Vivekananda Sanstha Honorary President Dr.C.M.A. Zaheer Ahmed garu, Jyoti Rao Phu offered flowers for the film. Speaking on this occasion, Jyoti Rao Phu was a great social reformer who worked for the upliftment of women along with abolition of untouchability caste system. A great social reformer who started the first school for girls in Pune, informed that students need to know the biographies of such social reformers. Later, blankets were distributed to the elderly. On the occasion of Jyoti Rao Phule Jayanti, the president of the organization Apparao informed that tomorrow Shankar Foundation is organizing a free eye camp under their auspices.
