Ladnun | Addressing the assembly at Sudharma Sabha on the occasion of his 65th birth anniversary, Acharya Mahashraman offered spiritual guidance, posing the question: "Why does birth occur?" He noted that in a single day, countless children, animals, and various other living beings come into existence.
In the context of birth, it is said that a heedless or negligent soul is compelled to take birth repeatedly, entering the womb time and again. Within every human being reside four *Kashayas* (passions): anger, ego, deceit, and greed. It is the intensity of these passions that serves to nourish the very roots of one's next incarnation. While birth itself has been characterized as a form of suffering, the attainment of a human life is, nonetheless, considered profoundly significant. Liberation from the cycle of birth and death cannot be achieved without first attaining a human birth; thus, the human form holds a unique and distinct importance. To be born is a matter of destiny or fate, but to engage in *Purusharth*—earnest, conscious effort—lies entirely within one's own hands.
Ladnun | Presenting a devotional song (*Geetika*) on the occasion of Acharya Mahashraman's birth anniversary, a volunteer reflected: "I have received this human birth by the grace of destiny; now, however, I must dedicate myself to *
Satpurusharth*—righteous and purposeful effort." Truly blessed is that human being who, throughout their life, engages in such righteous endeavors, aligns themselves with virtuous actions and intentions, and strives earnestly for the ultimate welfare of their own soul. While worldly pursuits may indeed possess their own inherent value, when viewed through the lens of spirituality, the dedicated practice of *Dharma* (righteous living) constitutes the greatest wealth one can ever accumulate. He further emphasized that individuals should make a conscious effort to contemplate and prepare for what lies ahead—their future. Attaining favorable circumstances in the present life is merely the fruit of one's karmic earnings from previous births; however, one must actively strive to ensure a virtuous next birth, or—ideally—to attain complete liberation from the ceaseless cycle of birth and death.
Acharya Mahashraman added that being a part of the Terapanth family is a matter of immense good fortune. "I have had the privilege of living within this spiritual family—founded by Acharya Shri Bhikshu—for approximately 52 years." On this auspicious occasion, the Acharya also paid tribute to *Sadhvipramukha* Kanakprabha, recalling that the proposal to organize this "Year of *Yogakshema*" (Spiritual Welfare) had originally come from her, and he had graciously accepted her suggestion.
Shasanmata Jayantilal Surana (Chief Trustee, Jain Vishwa Bharati), Prof. Bachhraj Dugar (Vice-Chancellor, Jain Vishwa Bharati Deemed University), and Trustees Rajesh Dugar (Vapi), Lalitkumar Dugar, Tej Karan Bothra, Narpat Dugar, Tej Karan Surana, and Prabha Dugar—along with Pramod Baid (Chairman of the *Yogakshem Varsh Pravas* Arrangements Committee), General Secretary Nirmal Kotecha, Sampatraj Daga, Sanjay Khated, Nirmal Naulakha, and Surajmal Nahata—shared their thoughts and expressions. During the program, a devotional song (*Gitika*) composed by Dr. Kamal Singh Baid was sung in unison by the volunteers, receiving great appreciation from the lay devotees (*Shravaks*).
