A surprise inspection was conducted by ADRM Operations Shri K Rama Rao at Visakhapatnam railway station and in the originating Express trains focusing on the cleanliness and maintenance of the amenities at the station in trains. He conducted inspection of the amenities such a drinking water facility, food courts, catering stalls, booking office, Reservation office, waiting halls etc at the station. He also enquired about the crowd management efforts by the RPF and Ticket checking staff.
He also inspected the linen supplied in the trains and the behavioural approach of the onboard housekeeping staff. ADRM interacted with the cleaning staff, linen suppliers and all the staff were counselled and advised to speak politely with the passengers and respond promptly to passenger complaints.
Further, ADRM held counselling session for OBHS staff, supervisors and Health Inspectors following the inspection at Visakhapatnam railway station.
