A traffic awareness program was conducted on Monday at 11 AM at St. Joseph’s College under the aegis of Eenadu, said Principal Dr. Sr. Shyji. The objective was to promote road safety awareness among students and highlight the importance of traffic rules.
Kancherapalem Traffic Police SI Mr. Srinivasa Rao and ASI Mr. Surya Prakash addressed the students, explaining the causes of road accidents, dangers of rash driving, and the importance of helmets, seat belts, and avoiding drunk driving. They stressed that following traffic rules helps protect both individuals and others.
College PRO Dr. P. K. Jayalakshmi, HoD Zoology Dr. Harini, and Council Advisors Dr. Mousami and Pratyusha also addressed the gathering, urging students to act responsibly and contribute to a safer society.
Students actively participated and clarified their doubts. The program received a positive response and was highly informative.
Eenadu representatives Mr. Rajesh and Mr. Venu also took part in the program and helped create awareness among students.
