World Health Day 2026 – Organized by Medicover Hospitals, located in Venkojipalem, Visakhapatnam.*

This year's theme conveys a meaningful message: "Together for Health. Stand with Science." This theme highlights the critical importance of the entire community working together—and relying on scientific evidence—to safeguard our health. This year, the primary focus lies on raising health awareness and encouraging every individual to adopt a healthy lifestyle. In our modern way of life, the prevalence of various diseases is on the rise due to factors such as stress, unhealthy dietary habits, and a lack of physical exercise. Therefore, it is imperative that everyone pays special attention to their personal health.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Meghanath Yenni—a leading General Physician and Consultant at Medicover Hospitals—stated that habits such as exercising for at least 30 minutes daily, consuming a balanced diet, and ensuring adequate sleep can significantly improve our health. In particular, undergoing regular health check-ups is essential for preventing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart-related diseases. Furthermore, mental health is just as important as physical health. Practicing techniques such as meditation and yoga is beneficial for reducing stress. Spending quality time with family members and maintaining a positive mindset also contribute significantly to overall well-being.  "We can build a healthy society only if every individual adopts a healthy lifestyle. On the occasion of this World Health Day, let us all resolve to raise awareness about health and put into practice the adage that 'Health is Wealth'."
