Cases against Professor Nageshwar should be dropped -Protest under APWJF

May 29. Demanding that the cases filed against Professor K. Nageshwar by prominent political and social analysts be dropped and freedom of speech be protected, the Andhra Pradesh Working Journalists Federation (APWJF) Visakhapatnam District Committee protested at the GVMC Gandhi statue on Friday. They raised slogans against the freedom of the media. They first garlanded the statue of Gandhi. Speaking on the occasion, Federation District President P. Narayan and executive member K. Appalanaidu said that Professor Nageshwar would do analysis on many issues and it was regrettable that some people were trying to defame him based on a recent comment he made. They asked people to refrain from posting obscene and derogatory posts against him on social media. They said that no one has the authority to trample on the right to freedom of speech guaranteed by the Constitution.  Even though Professor K. Nageshwar has announced that he has withdrawn his comments, it is inappropriate to threaten him. Federation leaders N. Madhu, Madan, Eswar Rao, Ravi Shankar, K. Rajesh, Satish, Varaprasad, Bhagyaraj, Sivaramakrishna, Chinna, Santosh, Jagadish and others participated in the program.
