Darshan of Sri Sri Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at Simhachalam | National Award Winner and Film Lyricist Kasarla Shyam Visits Simhadri Appanna

Simhachalam – May 8, 2026 Renowned film lyricist and National Film Award winner, Sri Kasarla Shyam, visited the shrine of Sri Sri Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at Simhachalam on Friday.

Having recently won a National Award for the song "Ooru Palleturu" from the film *Balagam*, he arrived at the holy site this morning and was accorded a warm welcome by temple officials. Subsequently, he offered prayers to the presiding deity in the sanctum sanctorum (Antaralayam). Following the *darshan*, the temple's Chief Priest, Sri Godavarthi Srinivasacharyulu, bestowed Vedic blessings upon him and presented him with the Lord's *Prasadam*.
On this occasion, the Chief Priest requested him to compose magnificent devotional songs (Sankeertanas) that would captivate the hearts of devotees and eloquently extol the divine glory of Lord Appanna.
Acceding to the Chief Priest's request, Kasarla Shyam expressed his delight and affirmed that he would soon compose a special, soul-stirring song that celebrates the grandeur of the "Giri Pradakshina"—a highly significant ritual associated with the Simhachalam shrine.
