Visakhapatnam Indian News Times:May 12,: Shri Lalit Bohra, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Waltair Division, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Bacheli railway establishments and the NMDC railway siding today. The inspection covered a detailed review of various railway establishments, station, sidings, and the NMDC mining area. A window trailing inspection was also carried out to assess the condition of tracks, curves, bridges, points, and crossings.
DRM was accompanied by branch officers of Waltair Division during the inspection. Key areas of focus included ongoing developmental works on the Bacheli–Kirandul line, passenger amenities, safety measures, and augmentation of siding infrastructure. Shri Lalit Bohra also reviewed the wagon discharge silo system at NMDC, which is aimed at reducing wagon loading time and improving overall operational efficiency.
During a meeting with senior NMDC officials, the DRM discussed measures to enhance freight loading operations, including increasing rake loading capacity and improving traffic movement. He also inspected the weighbridge facilities at Bacheli station.
As part of the visit, Shri Lalit Bohra inaugurated the newly constructed Running Room and Officers’ Rest House at Bacheli, which will provide improved amenities and comfort for railway staff and officers.
