DRM REVIEWS AMRIT BHARAT STATION WORKS AT DUVVADA*


Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Waltair Division, Shri Lalit Bohra, accompanied by senior officers of the Division, conducted a comprehensive inspection of Duvvada Railway Station today, i.e., 09.05.2026. The primary objective of the inspection was to review the ongoing works under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme and assess station facilities, passenger amenities, and infrastructure upgrades aimed at enhancing safety and passenger comfort.

During the inspection, the DRM and accompanying officials thoroughly examined key areas including circulating areas, retiring rooms, relay room, waiting halls, food court areas, booking and parcel offices, other railway establishments, and the overall improvements being carried out to the station buildings.


Special emphasis was laid on the progress of infrastructure and passenger amenity works being undertaken under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Shri Lalit Bohra reviewed the status of works such as the construction of wide Foot Over Bridge (FOB), development of circulating areas and parking facilities, and modernization of station buildings and related infrastructure.

During the visit, members of the Duvvada Rail Users Association met DRM and brought various railway-related issues and suggestions to his notice.


Shri Lalit Bohra interacted with station staff to review their competencies, maintenance practices, and operational concerns, with a focus on ensuring adherence to safety protocols and improving passenger service standard.
