Goldsmiths Rally Against Anti-Gold Purchase Campaigns... Memorandum Submitted to MLA Anandarao Demanding Resolution of Issues...

Responding to a call by the State Association, goldsmiths—including artisans, traders, and consumers—staged a protest by shutting down their shops. Their action was directed against the campaigns launched by both the Central and State governments, which discourage the purchase and excessive consumption of gold. 


Following the protest, a delegation led by District Goldsmiths' Association President Talabathula Appalacharyulu and Sri Sri Vishwabrahmana Association President Manepalli Satyaprakash gathered at the camp office of Amalapuram MLA Aithabathula Anandarao and submitted a memorandum to him. As part of this initiative, goldsmiths closed their shops and observed a district-wide shutdown (bandh). 


They appealed to MLA Anandarao, stating that they were observing this district-level bandh in solidarity with the statewide shutdown, and urged him to immediately address and fulfill the demands and resolve the issues faced by the goldsmith community. Participants in this event included Veerni Seshubabu, Chebolu Chandrasekhar, Kattoju Sannayadasu, Kattoju Subbarao, Manepalli Satyaprakash, Karri Narayana Rao, Allaka Vasu, Manda Shivakumar, Pulletikurthi Bhaskararao, Aripaka Bobby, Nalamati Nagababu, Talabathula Lakshmana Rao, Srisailam Pandu, and Bharani Kannababu, along with other goldsmiths.
