 * **A Long Struggle:** I have been fighting for the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone since my days as a youth leader. I even had cases filed against me during those protests.

 * **BJP’s Stance:** At the time of bifurcation, the BJP was the only party in Parliament that demanded the inclusion of the Railway Zone in the Reorganization Act. No other parties supported it back then.

 * **Key Efforts:** * Andhra BJP leaders met the former Railway Minister, **Suresh Prabhu**, who expressed his willingness regarding the zone.

   * **Venkaiah Naidu**, during his tenure as Union Minister, worked tirelessly for its establishment.

   * The Railway Zone was finally announced in **2019**, the result of many years of hard work.

 * **Complexity:** **Piyush Goyal** used to remark that granting Telangana was easier than establishing this Railway Zone.
