I Will Provide Full-Scale Support and Assistance to Athletes: MP Harish Mathur MP Harish Mathur Inaugurates National Powerlifting Competitions

Amalapuram |Indian News Times :On Friday, Amalapuram Member of Parliament (MP) Ganti Harish Balayogi inaugurated the 15th National-Level Sub-Junior Boys & Girls and Junior Men & Women Classic Powerlifting Championship competitions, a five-day event being held at the local Satyanarayana Gardens. 

The organizers announced that these competitions are scheduled to continue from May 15 to May 20, 2026. Organizing Secretary Kankipati Venkateswara Rao stated that approximately 900 athletes from 25 states across the country are participating in the event to showcase their talent. Speaking on the occasion, MP Ganti Harish Balayogi called upon the youth to cultivate an interest in sports and prioritize their health. Noting that the State Chief Minister has prioritized sports by increasing the sports quota from 2% to 3%, he advised talented athletes to utilize this sports quota to secure employment opportunities. 

He conveyed the message: "Everyone must play—and stay healthy." In addition to extending his full support and assistance to the event, the MP also arranged for free meals for all the participating athletes.

Goyal, Vice President Maddi Prabhakara Rao, MLC Kudipudi Suryanarayana Rao, Kalvakolanu Tataji, Chikkala Ganesh, Nalla Pawan, Moka Subbarao, Edida Srinu, Enumula Krishna Padmaraju, South Zone Secretary Sakala Koteswara Rao, AP President Ganta Venkateswarlu, Sakala Suryanarayana, Garapati Chandrasekhar, Pappula Srirama Chandramurthy, Dommeti Venkataramana, and others participated in this program.
