In accordance with the directives of Sri Ronanki Gopalakrishna, IAS, Project Director of the Andhra Pradesh State AIDS Control Society (APSACS), a monthly review meeting was conducted for the APSACS staff working on HIV/AIDS in the district. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Jagadeeswara Rao, District Medical and Health Officer, and Dr. Ronanki Ramesh, District Officer for Leprosy, AIDS, and TB (Visakhapatnam).


In accordance with the directives of Sri Ronanki Gopalakrishna, IAS, Project Director of the Andhra Pradesh State AIDS Control Society (APSACS), a monthly review meeting was conducted for the APSACS staff working on HIV/AIDS in the district. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Jagadeeswara Rao, District Medical and Health Officer, and Dr. Ronanki Ramesh, District Officer for Leprosy, AIDS, and TB (Visakhapatnam). During the meeting, district officials issued instructions to achieve the "95-95-99" targets—set by the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) and APSACS—by December 1, 2026. To facilitate the attainment of these targets, all private healthcare institutions within the district were requested to regularly submit details of registered HIV cases to the District AIDS Nodal Officer. Furthermore, they urged that no medical treatment be denied to HIV-infected patients, emphasizing the need to provide them with appropriate and comprehensive care.


The meeting was attended by representatives from various organizations working on HIV/AIDS, staff from ART Centers, Disha staff, Sri Kanakaraju (President of the District Positive Network), as well as staff from ICTC, DSRC, and TB control units, along with other medical officers.
