Mahanadu Day 2 Celebrations Held Grandly in Ward 27 MP Sri Bharat Unveils NTR Statue in ISB Colony

The 103rd birth anniversary celebrations of Telugu Desam Party founder and Padma Shri Dr. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao were organized under the auspices of Telugu Desam Party cluster in-charge and former ward corporator Golagani Veera Rao Bujji in ISB Colony, ward 27 of GVMC. 


On this occasion, the party flag was unfurled by Visakhapatnam Member of Parliament M Sribharat.  Along with MP Sribharat, Visakhapatnam TDP Parliamentary Party President Chode Venkata Pattabhiram, Visakhapatnam South Constituency TDP Coordinator and NTR Vaidya Seva Trust Executive Vice Chairman Seethamraju Sudhakar participated. Speaking on the occasion, MP Sribharat said that the Telugu Desam Party is a politically conscious party founded by Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao with the slogan of self-respect of the Telugu people, that the Telugu Desam Party is biased towards the BC castes, that the property rights that only male children had in property were given to every female child born with equal property rights along with males, and that NTR is credited with introducing many welfare schemes such as the two rupees per kilo rice scheme, the mid-day meal scheme for school going students, and the distribution of Janata Vastra to the poor.  He said that the honor of coming to power in the short period of time since the party was founded was made possible by the founders of the Telugu Desam Party, NTR.


 He said that in the short time since the party was founded, NTR has emerged as the largest opposition party in the Delhi Lok Sabha, shaken the central Congress party, formed the National Front alliance and toppled the Congress government. He said that he was very happy to participate in the unveiling of the statue of the great NTR. Speaking, Chode Venkata Pattabhiram said that his elder brother NTR is a memorable person and a great person who will be remembered by the Telugu people forever.


Seethamraju Sudhakar said that NTR founded the Telugu Desam Party after understanding all the hardships of the poor people, and that the Congress party, which never bowed to anyone, would maintain a monopoly, and that even today, even after NTR's defeat, the Delhi government does not have the right to come to power alone again. Sarees were distributed to about 200 poor women at this event. Later, MP Sribharat, Chode Venkata Pattabhiram and Seethamraju Sudhakar visited the house of ward TDP senior leader Eagalapati Satthiraju, who has been suffering from illness for some time, visited him and felicitated him with a shawl.
