Mother Easwaramma Day Celebrated at Prasanthi Nilayam with Devotion, Gratitude & Compassionate Seva*


Puttaparthi 06-05-2026 :Prasanthi Nilayam reverberated with profound devotion and heartfelt gratitude as Mother Easwaramma Day was observed with great spiritual fervour today, paying homage to Matrusri Easwaramma, the blessed chosen mother of Avatar Supreme Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.


The sacred morning commenced with solemn rituals and devotional bhajans at the Easwaramma Samadhi, situated outside the Ashram precincts. On the occasion, Sri RJ Rathnakar, Managing Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, Srimathi Himavahni Rathnakar, and Sri K. Chakravarthy, Chairman, Sri Sathya Sai Global Council & Trustee offered floral tributes to Matrusri Easwaramma garu with deep reverence and devotion.


The ceremony was attended by senior Ashram officials, members of the Ratnakaram Raju family, and a large gathering of devotees. Sanctified prasadam, including puffed rice and tamarind rice, was distributed to devotees By Sri RJ Rathnakar and others following the rituals.


The celebrations continued at Sai Kulwant Hall, where children from Sri Sathya Sai Balvikas, Andhra Pradesh, presented a soulful bhajan offering that filled the atmosphere with devotion and spiritual joy.


Marking the significance of the sacred occasion, Sri RJ Rathnakar, Managing Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, Sri K. Chakravarty, Chairman, Sri Sathya Sai Global Council & Trustee, Sri ISN Prasad, Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, Srimathi Himavahni Rathnakar, and Srimathi Vandita Sharma, IAS (Retired) distributed 60 sewing machines(each costing around Rs.23,000) to beneficiaries who had undergone free skill development training in stitching conducted through Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Andhra Pradesh. The initiative aims to support livelihood generation and empower families towards self-reliance.


The programme further featured the video replay of Bhagawan’s Divine Discourse, reminding devotees of His eternal message of love and selfless service, followed by devotional bhajans and Mangala Arathi for universal peace and welfare.


As part of the seva activities organised on the occasion of Matrusri Easwaramma Day, foldable umbrellas and stainless-steel water bottles were distributed to flower and fruit vendors situated outside the Prasanthi Nilayam Ashram premises. The foldable umbrellas and stainless-steel water bottles were provided by Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Andhra Pradesh.


The distribution was led by Sri RJ Rathnakar, Managing Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, in the presence of Sri R. Lakshmana Rao, State President, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Andhra Pradesh, Sri S. Koteswara Rao, National Service Wing Coordinator (Gents), sri Sathya sai seva organisations, India, Sri Sundar Swaminathan, Director, Sri Sathya Sai Media Centre, and other office bearers.

The day’s celebrations beautifully reflected Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s timeless message of “Love All, Serve All” and stood as a touching tribute to the sacred motherhood of Matrusri Easwaramma.
