Commodore Jasvinder Singh, IN (Retd.), after completing over three decades of distinguished service in the Indian Navy, assumed charge as Director (Strategic Project) at Hindustan Shipyard Limited on 01 May 2026.
Commodore Jasvinder Singh holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru University, M.E. in Mechanical (Marine Engineering) from the University of Pune and M.Phil in Defence and Strategic Studies from the University of Mumbai. He has also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies.
He served in various key operational and technical roles in the Indian Navy, including onboard Ships, Submarines, Naval establishments, DRDO and Tri-Service Installations, contributing to Marine Engineering, Fleet Maintenance and the construction of strategic vessels.
As Director (Strategic Project) at HSL, he will be responsible for critical strategic initiatives, including submarine projects.
