Amalapuram: Indian News Times:...A comprehensive review meeting with the presidents of the Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) of the Konaseema district was grandly organized on Friday at the Kapu Kalyana Mandapam in Amalapuram town, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema District. Presided over by Thummala Ramaswamy Babu, Chairman of the Cooperative Central Bank for the erstwhile East Godavari districts, the meeting was attended by PACS presidents from across the district, bank representatives, and officials from the Department of Agriculture.
Speaking as the chief guest at the event, Amalapuram Member of Parliament (MP) Ganti Harish Madhur stated that the coalition government has prioritized farmers' welfare as its primary objective and is implementing various development programs to that end. He noted that the agricultural sector would be further strengthened by ensuring that credit facilities are provided to farmers in a timely manner. He emphasized that Primary Agricultural Credit Societies serve as the backbone of the rural economy and urged them to work more closely with farmers to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach every eligible farmer.
DCCB Chairman Thummala Ramaswamy Babu stated that measures are being undertaken to deliver services to farmers through these societies in a more transparent and expeditious manner. He called upon farmers to effectively utilize the Primary Agricultural Credit Societies located in their villages to achieve both agricultural development and financial stability. He urged farmers to contribute to the strengthening of societies by increasing deposits and participating in the share capital. Speaking on this occasion, Mummidivaram MLA Datla Subbaraju and MLC Perabatthula Rajasekhar suggested that society presidents should strive to ensure that farmer welfare schemes reach every farmer at the village level. Bank CEO Praveen sensitized the presidents regarding various topics, including the management of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies, crop loans, deposit mobilization, and the implementation of government schemes. State Executive Secretary Metla Ramanababu, DCMS Chairman Pecheti Chandramouli, AMUDA Chairman Alladi Sombabu, TDP leader and ATMA Chairman Chikkam Sudha, Janasena leaders Bandaru Srinivas and Polishetti Chandrasekhar, BJP leaders Satyanarayana, Yalla Dorababu, and Akula Suryanarayana Murthy, Sakuru Society Chairman Nalla Venkateswaram, Kankipati Gopi, Polishetti Babulu, Kanukudi Ramesh, Kalavakolanu Tataji, Yalla Satish, Akella Suryanarayana Murthy, Aithabatthula Uma, Isakabatthula Ravibabu, and others participated in this program.
