National Journalists Association Secretary and Andhra Pradesh Working Journalists Federation State Leader Gantla Sreenubabu has urged the government to provide generous assistance to journalists and their family members who have fallen ill while continuously working for the society. To this end, Gantla Sreenubabu visited two senior journalists who had fallen ill on Friday and assured them of his courage. At the same time, he also spoke to their family members and assured them that he would stand by them. He also provided financial assistance to the two journalists.


Israel's family should stand by them

Israel, who had served in the press for a long time as a senior journalist, was recently involved in a road accident.  As a result, he broke his waist and suffered severe injuries to his legs and arms. He underwent three operations. He is currently unable to walk and is receiving medical attention at home. Israel's son Suvarnaraj is also seriously ill. He currently has to undergo dialysis three days a week. Israel's wife is also confined to her home due to illness. As a result, three people in the same family are suffering from severe illness. However, the government has to stand by such a family. Another journalist, B. Suribabu, recently met with a road accident. He is currently receiving medical treatment.


Letter to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund..

Gantla Srinubabu said that he will write a letter to the state Chief Minister Narachandrababu Naidu to support the family of senior journalist Israel, who has fallen ill. He also said that he will request funds to be allocated for medical expenses under the Chief Minister's Relief Fund in the letter.  Gantla Srinu Babu expressed hope that the Chief Minister will definitely provide assistance to the family of journalist Israel, who is facing financial difficulties after three members of the same family fell ill. He said that the government should take appropriate steps to provide financial security to journalists. Otherwise, he said that many journalists are likely to end up on the streets due to poverty and meager salaries.
